Key Responsibilities
- Shape the strategic direction of the organization
- Provide governance, fiduciary oversight, and accountability
- Support the CEO and leadership team through insight and expertise
- Foster relationships with industry, government, and community partners
- Champion workforce development and opportunities for Edmonton creators
- Act as ambassadors for Edmonton’s screen industries locally and beyond
Ideal Candidate Profile
Directors may bring experience in:
- Film, television, digital media, or interactive entertainment
- Governance, finance, law, HR, or strategic planning
- Economic development, innovation, or technology sectors
- Community leadership, arts, culture, or sector-based advocacy

Time Commitment
- Quarterly board meetings (2-3 hours, plus preparation time)
- Quarterly committee meetings (2-3 hours, plus preparation time)
- 2-4 hours per month for board/committee work and community engagement
- An annual full day strategic planning meeting
- Three-year term, with an option to renew for additional terms
