The company first broke through with The Culture High, which set a Canadian crowdfunding record by raising over $240,000 in 42 days and went on to earn a place on the Academy Awards long list. Since then, Score G has continued to elevate its slate with acclaimed projects including Inmate #1: The Rise of Danny Trejo, Bisping, Breaking Olympia: The Phil Heath Story, and Thunder: The Life & Death of Arturo Gatti. Score G’s work has been distributed across leading platforms including Netflix, ESPN, NBC, Bell/TSN, and Super Channel, with global distribution partners such as Universal Pictures, Fremantle, Thunderbird, and E1. Several projects have achieved strong global performance across theatrical, broadcast, and digital platforms. To date, Score G Productions has delivered over $20 million in total production budgets, leveraged more than $7 million in grants and tax credits, and generated over $9.4 million in Alberta spend—demonstrating both financial sophistication and a strong commitment to the local production ecosystem. Current projects include The Great Ones, a premium docuseries on the Edmonton Oilers dynasty produced in partnership with Ryan Reynolds’ Maximum Effort, further expanding Score G’s global footprint. At its core, Score G is focused on telling powerful, character-driven stories that transcend niche audiences and connect on a global scale. Whether exploring icons of sport, culture, or resilience, the company continues to push boundaries, champion bold storytelling, and position Canadian stories as globally competitive, commercially viable, and culturally impactful.

Tootoo
Jordin Tootoo, of Inuit and Ukrainian descent, shattered barriers as the first Inuk and the first player raised in Nunavut to compete in both the NHL and for Team Canada. Raised in Rankin Inlet, Tootoo grew up immersed in traditional Inuit life, hunting, fishing, and surviving in the harsh Arctic, while carrying the invisible weight of childhood trauma. On the ice, Tootoo quickly became known as one of hockey’s fiercest competitors: a relentless agitator with bone-rattling hits and an unyielding spirit. Off the ice, however, he struggled with alcohol addiction and unresolved pain. Midway through his decade-long NHL career, Tootoo made the courageous decision to enter the league’s Substance Abuse Program, a turning point that saved his life and reshaped his legacy. Today, Tootoo is celebrated not just as a trailblazing athlete, but as an advocate, mentor, and role model. Through his tireless work in mental health, suicide prevention, and Indigenous community outreach, he has transformed personal hardship into a platform for change. Tootoo is more than a hockey story, it is a story of resilience, cultural pride, and the power of one man’s journey to inspire generations.
