We aim to connect organizations doing meaningful work with emerging professionals in the creative industries—while supporting both community impact and student growth. Pixel Blue College specializes in four dynamic diploma programs: 2D Animation and Illustration, Graphic Design and Photography, 3D Animation and Visual Effects, and Audio Engineering and Music Production. Our graduates and current students are eager to contribute their skills to causes they care about while gaining valuable professional experience. We understand that nonprofit and community-driven organizations often face tight budgets. Recent Projects
Canadian Cancer Society - SunSense
We were asked to create an animated video for the SunSense program, communicating the importance of protecting your skin from harmful ultraviolet radiation while playing outdoors. Our team developed a complete vision for the project and brought the client along through the process of visual development, storyboarding, and all the way to the final animation.
Freeplay - Coaching Modules
Freeplay was developing training modules for its coaches. Animation and characters were developed for the presentations to engage students while they took the course.
Kids Kottage Donor Recognition Mural & Kids Room Artwork
Kids Kottage, a not-for-profit organization that provides shelter for children in need, was looking for some help to bring some warmth into their space. We were excited to work with Kids Kottage to develop a hand-painted mural to serve as a way to recognize their donors. Each of the children’s rooms at the shelter was brightened up with large printed illustrations based on the themes of Sunshine, Star, River, Ocean, Forest, Flower, and Mountain.
Internet Standards, Security and Safety Coalition
The Internet Standards, Security and Safety Coalition (IS3C) asked us to create a video to illustrate the need to coordinate internationally on the issue of cybersecurity. This video was presented by IS3C to the United Nations.
Sorrentino’s Compassion House - -Smashin’ For Compassion
Compassion House reached out to our team to develop a full visual marketing package for a pickleball-themed fundraiser for the organization. Our team of designers had so much fun developing the brand and illustrating the lighthearted spirit of pickleball!
